Testing

Kave Theatre Services undertakes testing of installations & portable equipment (PAT) for many schools, halls and theatres throughout the South East.  Using qualified technicians, we can provide inspection and testing for all types of fixed installation in accordance with IEE wiring regulations.

Portable appliance testing is a very important statutory requirement and covers all portable equipment. This includes theatre lanterns, extension lead, grelcos, etc. and is usually required every year.  Kave provides a bespoke service for theatre equipment which can include removal and replacement of equipment on a lighting grid, and cleaning of lantern lenses & reflectors. When equipment fails to meet the requirements of the tests, this will be presented to the customer. This equipment can be brought up to an acceptable standard by Kave if economically viable.  Full certification in line with IEE regulations is provided. All PAT testing personnel are qualified with City & Guild's 2377 certification.

Servicing

Kave’s servicing department specialises in the maintenance and repair of theatrical lighting, sound and curtain tracking equipment, both in-house and on site. We are approved service agents for Zero88, Strand Lighting, ETC & Martin Professional. Our staff have attended manufacturer run training sessions on a large variety of equipment.  We also provide a refurbishment/rewire service for older lanterns (e.g., Strand Patt 23/ Patt 123) where this is economically viable.
